Here are my suggestions on what you should edit:

Should cigarettes be illegal? Smoking can cause lung cancer, strokes, and many other diseases. Diseases caused from smoking are one of the most preventable in the US. In the States, more than 480,000 deaths occur a year due to smoking related illnesses. Smoking should be made illegal to protect our health.

I changed it up because you need more variety in your diction (wording), and also the phrasing could be slightly improved. When you wrote "In the US, more than 480,000 deaths occur a year due to cigarettes" the phrasing didn't make much sense. You don't die from a cigarette. You die from diseases that are caused from regular smoking.

Hope this helped!

It's exciting is to thrill as difficult is to ?????
BabaBlast [244]
This is an analogy that you need to complete in order to see what the final word should be. So, exciting is an adjective that describes the noun thrill. So, in order to finish the analogy, you need a noun that the adjective difficult refers to. That noun could be ordeal, hardship, trouble, torment, torture, etc. You need a word that means "something difficult," so any of those words could be the correct answer.

From Edgar Allen Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart"
grin007 [14]

Answer:

This is what I wrote (and it is not plagerized you can even check)

Explanation:

The sound that the narrator thinks he's heard at the end of the story is the old man's heartbeat but what he actually hears is his guilty conscious, because that is what is making him think that he can still hear the old man's heartbeat is that since he feels guilty about what he did his conscious is making it seem like the heart is still beating. In the text, it says that " I admit the deed-tear up the planks!-here, here! it is the beating of his hideous heart!" that shows how the narrator got tired of "hearing the heartbeat" so what he did was confess to what he did. The effect that the narration has on the story is that the suspense because in paragraph 17 we the audience are getting anxious because when the police arrive at the house were wondering at what time he will get caught.
