We can infer that the speaker has a strong affection, care and kindness for her daughter, Cleis.

Explanation:

Through the poem, we can infer that Cleis is a charming little girl, "'like a golden flower," as the poet claims. We can also infer that the little girl was the target of great affection for her mother, who very gently, they were very careful with the girl and wanted her to always be happy and admired, in addition, we can infer that the little girl had all the affection and attention of mom.

The poem has a very sweet, happy and delicate tone and shows how the relationship between mother and daughter should be.
