The best way to solve this is to simply substitute all given answers for u.

The answer is A) 3.3

The answer is A, 3.3. You first want to distribute the + symbol to the 5.9, which will make it still a negative. From then you want to combine like terms so you can add -9.8+-5.9. That should be equal to -15.7. Your equation now is looking like -15.7+u=-12.4. You want to leave the u alone so now you have to do the opposite of -15.7 which is add 15.7. What you do to one side, you do to the other. Now add 15.7 to -12.4. That should be 3.3. Now it looks like u=3.3 which is your answer.

The radius of the base of a cylinder is decreasing at a rate of 121212 kilometers per second. The height of the cylinder is fixe
WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

7536 km^3/sec

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Rate of decreasing of radius = 12 km/sec

Height of cylinder is fixed at = 2.5 km

Radius of cylinder = 40 km

To find:

The rate of change of Volume of the cylinder?

Solution:

First of all, let us have a look at the formula for volume of a cylinder.

Volume = \pi r^2h

Where r is the radius and

h is the height of cylinder.

As per question statement:

r = 40 km (variable)

h = 2.5 (constant)

\dfrac{dV}{dt} = \dfrac{d}{dt}\pi r^2h

As \pi, h are constant:

\dfrac{dV}{dt} = \pi h\dfrac{d}{dt} r^2\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{dV}{dt} = \pi h\times 2 r\dfrac{dr}{dt} \\$Putting the values:$\\\Rigghtarrow\dfrac{dV}{dt} = 3.14 \times 2.5\times 2 \times 40\times 12 \\\Rigghtarrow\dfrac{dV}{dt} = 7536\ km^3/sec

777dan777 [17]

Answer:

The value of the test statistic z for this hypothesis test is -2.79

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

To calculate the test statistic use the formula:

z=\frac{\hat p-p_0}{\sqrt{\frac{p_0(1-p_0)}{n}}}

Where, z  is Test statistics, n is Sample size, p₀ = Null hypothesized value  and \hat p = Observed proportion.

p₀ = 0.50

Thus 1-p₀= 0.50

42% responded that if they had a cell phone, thus \hat p=0.42

The sample size is 305.

Substitute the respective values in the above formula.

z=\frac{0.42-0.50}{\sqrt{\frac{0.50(0.50)}{305}}}

z=\frac{-0.08}{\sqrt{0.00082}}

z=-2.79

Hence, the value of the test statistic z for this hypothesis test is -2.79

How do I solve a b and c
DedPeter [7]
A fraction actually represents a division problem that can return a decimal real number with which you can solve some problems. ie:4/3 = 4÷3 = 1.333

a. 6×1.25=x 6×1.333=x 6×1.5=x 6×1.75=x 6×2=x make sense?
b. 6×.666=x
c. by definition a cube has equal length sides in all 3 dimensions.
