Hi there!

Marbury v. Madison and McCulloch v. Maryland are some of the earliest examples of landmark cases in the history of the Supreme Court. Their decisions, which have had lasting impacts on the interpretation of the Constitution, are vital to todays understanding of the federal government.

Marbury v. Madison established the policy of judicial review. Judicial review holds that the court has the power to declare acts of Congress unconstitutional should it be inconsistent with the Constitution. This put a sizable check on the power of Congress to pass laws and established the power of the court in the new government.

McCulloch v. Maryland established that when it comes to clashes between state laws and federal laws, federal laws will always trump state laws except for a few rare exceptions. This reaffirmed the power of the new national government and the broad sweeping power it had over the states.

Pani-rosa [81]

Answer:

the free enterprise system

Explanation:

If an essay were written based on the statements presented in the question above, that essay would have the topic "the free enterprise system". This is because the author of the essay would show arguments, elements and factors that make him agree or disagree with the adoption of this type of commercial system, also showing the advantages and disadvantages of adopting it or not.

For this, the author of the essay should address statements that revolve around the free enterprise system. As we know, the essay topic is one that allows arguments to revolve around their concepts. For this reason, we can say that the free enterprise system would be the topic.

How was a successor to Muhammad chosen?
Artemon [7]
First: a successor for Muhammad had to be chosen, because none of his sons survived to adulthood, so a hereditary succession was not in question.

A successor to Muhammad (or generally a religious and political leader) is called caliph. The first caliph was chosen by recommendation from many of Muhammad comrades, most notably by Umar (who was a caliph later), and it was Abu Bakr.

The choice was disputed and some believed it should be Ali should be the rightful successor.

In general, the successor was chosen by recommendation from others and choice among the leading figures.
