Money spent on lawn mower: $360
He has $840-$360=$480
Money spent on gift: $60
He now has $480-$60=$420

He started of with 840 and if he spent 3/7 that's means you have to multiply then subtract with the original amount


3/7×840=360
how much he spent

840-360=480
how much is left

1/8×480=60
how much he spent on a lawnmower

480-60= 420
he has 420 left
