In the question it is given that the line passes through the point (0,-5) with slope (m) = 2. We have to find out the point slope form of the equation.

We know the point - slope form of an equation is given by  

\left(y-y_{1}\right)=m\left(x-x_{1}\right)

where x_{1} and y_{1} are the x and y co-ordinates

\text { Here } y_{1}=-5 \text { and } x_{1}=0 \text { and the slope } m=2

Substituting the values in the point slope form of the equation we get

(y-(-5)) = 2 (x-0)

⇒ (y+5) = 2 (x-0)

Hence the point slope form of the equation for line passes through (0, -5) with slope 2 is (y+5) = 2 (x-0)
