Let  2x+y=5 ......(1)

y+3=2x ......(2)

From (2), y=2x-3

In (1), 2x+2x-3=5

4x=8

x=2

Substitute in (1),

2x+y=5

2(2)+y=5

y=5-4

y=1

So, the value of x=2 and y=1.
