Answer: Mao Zedong’s speech intended to explore three main ideas which were the concept of death, any action that was taken in the revolution is valid and every people had to support the revolution. And the figurative language that he used, was to explore some metaphors such as Battalions which are the Communist Party, Eighth Route, and New Fourth Armies. He also used the words feathers or Mount Tain to talk about the death of some people.

The figurative speech words are written in bold:

  • death for the people is weightier than mount tai
  • to work for the fascists or die for exploiters and oppressors is lighter than a feather
  • serving the people
  • never benefit oneself, always benefit others
  • tireless struggle

Answer:

C. His mind is overcome with stress and anxiety.

Explanation:

Scorpions are often a symbol of danger.

D is incorrect. Poison is not the correct imagery here.

B is incorrect. He specifically references his mind.

A is incorrect. While this could be, in theory, the correct answer, his memories are not what he is really referencing here.

Stress is associated with danger, which is associated with the scorpion. Therefore, the answer is C.

Lorico [155]
Rouge waves are basically just smaller tsunamis. They both carry explicable force and they can form at any place where the conditions are right. However, rouge waves may be more common.
