Find the 44th in the following arithmetic sequence 2,3,4,5

Mathematics
1 answer:
sp2606 [1]3 years ago
7 0

Answer:

17

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the common difference d, use the formula a1+4d=a5.

For us, a1 is 10 and a5 is 38.

10+4d=38

Now we can solve for d.

4d=28

d=7

Add the common difference to the first term to get the second term.

a2=a1+d=10+7=17

Answer:

a) 2^{3}

b) 2^{5}

c) 2^{8}

d) \frac{5}{2^{3} }

e) 2^{4} + 2^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

a) 8 = 2 x 2 x 2

b) 32 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2

c) 256 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2

d) 5 x 2^3 / 64 = 5 x 8 / 64

                        = 40/64

                        = 5/8

                        = \frac{5}{2^{3} }

e) 16 - (-2)^3 = 16 - (-8)

                    = 16 + 8

                    = 2^{4} + 2^{3}

How does 2π/4 simplify to π/4?
lana [24]
It doesn't
remember that
(x/g) times (y/z)=(x time y)/(g times z) so
2pi/4=(2 times pi)/(4 times 1) so
2pi/4=2/4 times pi/1=1/2 times pi/1=pi/2

I need help on this and a few more i have been busy lately
BaLLatris [955]

Answer:

ok so we have to make it so we can get rid of one of the varibles by adding or subtracting

so lets multiply the first one by 4

120x+16y=4160

minus the second one so

108x=2160

divide by 108

x=20

then we just plug in

12(20)+16y=2000

240+16y=2000

-240

16y=1760

divide by 16

y=110

(20,110)

Hope This Helps!!!
