Biology

Answer:

The taste of a food if not being smelt, combines at the back of the throat and a lingering of smell can be experienced internally to the nose.

Explanation:

The taste and smell use the same environmental molecules and receptors. The odor of a substance is the molecules that we breathe through the air. The taste and smell unites at the back of the throat.

If we taste something before smelling it, the smell of that substance lingers into our nose internally as they both use the same chemo-receptors. The receptors while coming close to the stimulus get activated and sends signal to the brain to respond to it.

Aerobic respiration is the aerobic catabolism of nutrients to carbon dioxide, water, and energy, and involves an electron transport system in which molecular oxygen is the final electron acceptor. The overall reaction is: C6H12O6 + 6O2 yields 6CO2 + 6H2O + energy

Hope this helps.

Use the drop-down menus to label the organelles in the picture to the right label A
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer;

Label A; Mitochondria.

Label B; Nucleus.

Label C; Golgi apparatus.

Label D; Rough endoplasmic reticulum

Explanation;

 • All the above are various organelles in a eukaryotic cells each carrying different cellular activity to enhance the functioning of a cell.

Label A; Mitochondria.

 • Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell which converts glucose to energy rich molecules of ATP, through the process of cellular respiration.

Label B; Nucleus.

 • Nucleus contains the genetic material or DNA, RNA , nucleolus, chromatin fibres and proteins. It contains the chromosomes which control the hereditary characteristics.It also regulates all the activities of the cell.

Label C; Golgi apparatus.

 • Golgi apparatus; they are also called Golgi bodies. They function in modifying, sorting and packaging of proteins for secretion. They are also involved in the transport of lipids around the cell, and the creation of lysosomes.

Label D; Rough endoplasmic reticulum

 • The rough endoplasmic reticulum provides surface for protein synthesis. It is also used to transport cellular contents from one cell to another.
 • The risbosomes attached on the rough endoplasmic reticulum are resposible for the protein synthesis through the process of translation.
