Answer:

11 x^2 + 4x -6

Step-by-step explanation:

combine like terms but be careful with the minus sign in front of the second set of parentheses.

Answer: -3x^2+4x-6\\

Step-by-step explanation:

4x^2 +9x-7 does not need distributive propery

-(7x^2+5x-1) does with that negitive in front of parentheses

It then becomes -7x^2-5x+1

Add it all together

-3x^2+4x-6

How do you do this one?
tankabanditka [31]

Your answer is correct... i^2=-1, so

(3+i)(i^2+8i-2)=(3+i)(-3+8i)

Then distributing 3+i to both terms on the right gives

(3+i)(-3)+(3+i)(8i)=(-9-3i)+(24i+8i^2)=-9-3i+24i-8=-17+21i

What ratio of height to width is considered most appropriate in graphing a frequency distribution?
Fiesta28 [93]
Answer:
As a rule of thumb, it is usual to define discrete data in 5 to 10 groups or bins. When graphed, the height of each group or bin defines the frequency for the group or bin.

Explanation:
When discrete data is graphed into a histogram, it defines a frequency distribution. Because information becomes lost when too many groups or bins are used, it is customary to use 5 to 10 bins.

Example:
Consider the following random data which has a sample size of 16.
x = [1, 3, 6, 2, 9, 8, 4, 5, 10, 3, 5, 4, 3, 5, 7, 5]
When fewer groups or bins are used to construct the histogram, the centralized nature of the distribution is easy to discern.
As the number of bins increases, the distribution becomes more difficult to define.

(1 point) In 7 years Harry and Sally would like to have $14000 for a down payment on a house. How much should they deposit each
den301095 [7]

Answer:

$110.37

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming the monthly payment is made at the beginning of the month, the formula for the monthly payment P that gives future value A will be ...

... A = P(1+r/12)((1+r/12)^(nt) -1)/(r/12) . . . . n=compoundings/year, t=years

... 14000 = P(1+.11/12)((1+.11/12)^(12·7) -1)/(.11/12)

... 14000 = P(12.11)((1+.11/12)^84 -1)/0.11 ≈ P·126.84714 . . . . fill in the given values

... P = 14000/126.84714 = 110.37 . . . . . divide by the coefficient of P

They should deposit $110.37 at the beginning of each month.

26
a
a = 16, b = 30, c = 34
Verify if the sides form a
right triangle.
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer: verified, it is a right triangle

Step-by-step explanation:

Use Pythagorean theorem to verify (a^2 + b^2 = c^2)

(16)^2 + (30)^2 = (34)^2

256 + 900 = 1156

This is true.
