At would happen if a species disappeared from an ecosystem? The food web might be changed greatly if a species disappeared from an ecosystem. The organisms that fed on the species would have to find new sources of energy.

Answer: If the population of an organism dies out, then the animals on top of it on the food chain are going to die, since they will have no other food to rely on. Or, they will have to find a new source of energy if they do not.

This is why we should not try to kill any animals, even too much fishing can cause the same problem.
