-4X^4 - 44x^2 + 3600 = 0

divide through by -4:-

x^4 + 11x^2 - 900 = 0

900 = 36 * - 25    and 11 = 36-25  so the factors are

(x^2 + 36)(x^2 - 25)  = 0

x^2 = - 36  giving  x = 6i and -6i

x^2 = 25  giving x = 5 and x = -5

solution set is {-5, 5,  6i, -6i}

Answer:

A.1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

 1  Pick two points on the line and determine their coordinates.

   2 Determine the difference in y-coordinates of these two points (rise).

   3 Determine the difference in x-coordinates for these two points (run).

 4 Divide the difference in y-coordinates by the difference in x-coordinates (rise/run or slope).

PLEASE HELP
lions [1.4K]
This question is easy if you think about it. First get the area of the rectangular part of the shape and then find area of the two semi-circles then add them together.

First, let's solve for the rectangle because it's easier.

Area for finding a rectangle A = w * l

A = 23 * 37
A = 851

Now for the semi-circle. First use the equation for finding the area of a circle which is A = Pi * r^2. We'll use 3.14 for Pi.

We know the diameter is 23. And to get the radius we just half it because the radius is half of the diameter.

23 / 2 = 11.5

A = 3.14 * 11.5^2
A = 3.14 * <span>132.25
</span>A = <span>415.265
</span>
Now we have the total area for both semi-circles. Because if we half 415.265 then add the other semi-circle's area it will be the same and adding them up will result in 415.265.

Now add up 851 and 415.265.

851 + 415.265 = <span>1266.265</span>

What is the end behavior of the function?<img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=f%28x%29%3D%5Cfrac%7B4x%7D%7Bx-16%7D" id="TexFormula1
bazaltina [42]

From the asymptotes of the function, the end behavior is given by:

  • The vertical asymptote is x = 16.
  • The horizontal asymptote is y = 4.

<h3>What are the asymptotes of a function f(x)?</h3>

  • The vertical asymptotes are the values of x which are outside the domain, which in a fraction are the zeroes of the denominator.
  • The horizontal asymptote is the value of f(x) as x goes to infinity, as long as this value is different of infinity.

In this problem, the function is given by:

f(x) = \frac{4x}{x - 16}

For the vertical asymptote, it is when the denominator is of zero, hence:

x - 16 = 0 -> x = 16.

For the horizontal asymptote, we find the limit as x goes to infinity, hence:

\lim_{x \rightarrow \infty} f(x) = \lim_{x \rightarrow \infty} \frac{4x}{x - 16} = \lim_{x \rightarrow \infty} \frac{4x}{x} = \lim_{x \rightarrow \infty} 4 = 4

Hence the end behavior is given by:

  • The vertical asymptote is x = 16.
  • The horizontal asymptote is y = 4.
