Answer:

a) = $10,896.71

b) = $11,768.45

Explanation:

The question is divided into 2 parts

Part a) Amount in the account today

The formula to use is as follows:

FV of Annuity= P(1+r)∧n - 1)/r

P= Periodic Payment = $450

r= Rate of each period= 8%

n= the number of periods= 14

The account today is as follows:

FV = 450 x (1+0.08)∧14-1]/0.08

= $10,896.71

Part b) The formula to use is as follows:

FV = Future value = (1+r) * P * [ (1+r)n -1] / r

P= Periodic Payment = $450

r= Rate of each period= 8%

n= the number of periods= 14

= Fv= (1+0.08) * 450 * [ (1+0.08)^14 - 1] / 0.08

= $11,768.45

What is the total manufacturing overhead assigned to the current order for Men's Razors if the firm uses a volume-based plant wi
Brut [27]

Answer:

$7,200

Explanation:

The computation of the total manufacturing overhead assigned is shown below:

= ($168,640 + $127,840 + $554,400 + $1,078,000) ÷ $514,368

= 375% per direct-labor dollar.

Now

= $514,368 ÷ 8,037

= $64 per DL hour.

And,

= $64  × 30 direct labor hours

= $1920.

So,

Manufacturing overhead is

= 1920 × 375%

= $7,200

What is the difference between an increase in demand and an increase in quantity demanded?.
Setler [38]

Answer:

Quantity Demanded is a shift up/down a demand curve

Increase in Demand is a shift in the curve itself.

Explanation:

There will be an increase in Quantity Demanded when price goes down. There is a Quantity Demand change when there is a price change. (QD goes up when Price goes down, QD goes down when price goes up)

An increase in demand is when one of the shifters of demand change. So for example, if number of consumers (one of the shifters) increase, the demand curve increases, and shifts right, meaning more quantity at each pricepoint.
