The answere to the last question is never.In order for a triangle to be equilateral, all corners have to be equal.A triangle's corner sum cant be over 180°.So as we all know, a right triangle has one right corner.If a corner is right, then, all corners can't be equal(because 90 is the half of 180).So the triangle can't be equilateral.

The two triangles are similar.
Neko [114]

Given that the triangles are similar.

When triangles are similar, all three pairs of corresponding sides are in the same ratio.

Similarly in the given triangles, the ratio of the corresponding sides are equal.

\frac{8}{2x-2}= \frac{8+6}{3x}

\frac{8}{2x-2}= \frac{14}{3x}

Cross multiplying, we get

8 \times 3x = 14 \times (2x-2)

24x = 28x-28

-4x = -28

Dividing both sides of the equation by -4.

So, we get

x = 7.

In a 30°-60°-90° triangle, what is the length of the longer leg when the length of the hypotenuse is 18 inches?
max2010maxim [7]

Answer:

9sqrt(3) in.

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of the lengths of the sides of a 30-60-90 triangle is:

short leg : long leg : hypotenuse

      1        :   sqrt(3)  :          2

If the short leg measures 1, then the hypotenuse measures 2.

The length of the hypotenuse is twice the length of the short leg.

The length of the long leg is sqrt(3) times the length of the short leg.

If the hypotenuse measures 18 in., then the short leg measures 9 in.

Then the long leg measures 9sqrt(3) in.

Anyone know this I need help
horrorfan [7]

Answer:

option D

Step-by-step explanation:

we have a right triangle

we know

c^2=a^2+b^2

c=hypotenuse

c=52 cm

a=48 cm

b= 20 cm

we  substitute in the equation c^2=a^a+b^2

so we have

52^2=48^2+20^2

52= sqrt(48^2+20^2)

52= sqrt(2304+400)

52= sqrt(2704)

52cm=52cm

so c=52 cm

so the option D is the correct answer
