Is a rectangular prism has a length width and height of 3/8cm, 5/8cm and 7/8 in a meter respectively then the volume of the pris
myrzilka [38]

The volume of a rectangular prism is given by the multiplication of its three dimensions: if w, h, l are the width, height and length of the prism, the volume is

V = w\cdot h\cdot l

So, in your case, you have

V = \dfrac{3}{8} \cdot \dfrac{5}{8} \cdot \dfrac{7}{8} = \dfrac{3\cdot 5 \cdot 7}{8\cdot 8 \cdot 8} = \dfrac{105}{512}

Elenna [48]

Answer: Hello your question is missing some details but I will provide a general solution based on the scope of the problem and you can plugin the missing value

answer = Volume of rectangular prism box / volume of cube

Step-by-step explanation:

To determine the number of Dice that will fit in the rectangular prism box

First : calculate the volume of the cube box ( dice )

volume of a Cube box : V = L^3       where L = side length

next : calculate the volume of the rectangular prism box

volume of rectangular prism box = L * b * h

L= length , b = width , h = height

final step : Divide the volume of the rectangular prism box by the volume of the cube box ( dice )

= ( L * b * h ) / ( L^3 )

Find the equations of the tangent lines to x2+y2=1 at x=0, x=1 and x=35.
Ivanshal [37]
Assuming the equation is x^2 + y^2 = 1, then that's a circle, with radius 1, centered on the origin [0,0].

So there are two tangents at x = 0. They are y = 1, and y = -1 (horizontal lines).

There is one tangent at x = 1. It is x = 1 (a vertical line).

There is no tangent at x = 35, because the original equation has no solution at x = 35.

What are some examples of how you have used, or could use, algebraic equations to solve problems in your everyday life?
pshichka [43]
We use algebraic equations in our daily lives without knowing it. For example, when we go shopping, calculate grocery expenses, or even fill our gas tanks, we are using equations. Let's say we needed to fill our gas tank, but we only had $15.00 to do so. If the price of gas is $3.00 per gallon, how many gallons could we buy? We use the simply algebraic equation of \frac{x}{y} to calculate the total gallons that can be bought. x = the money we have. y = price per gallon of gas. \frac{15}{3} = 5. So with $15.00, we can buy 5 gallons of gas; and that is just one example of using an algebraic equation in everyday life!
