Hello!

First you have to find the length of the side under the quarter circle

20 - 11 = 9
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next you have to find the circumference of the quarter circle

You use the equation to find the circumference of a circle and divide the answer by 4

The equation is 2 \pi r

r is radius

Put in 3.14 for pi and the numbers you know

2 * 3.14 * 11 = 69.08

Divide this by 4

69.08 / 4 = 17.27
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally you add all the values you know

20 + 2 + 17.27 + 9 + 11 + 2 = 61.27cm
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The answer is 61.27cm

Hope this helps!

Answer:

Randy just added up the numbers on the numerator and denominator.

This is incorrect.

<u>Correct way of adding the fractions given below:</u>

  • 7/8 + 9/15 =                      ⇒ Simplify the second equation, divide by 3)
  • 7/8 + 3/5 =
  • 5*7/5*8 + 8*3/8*5 =         ⇒ Bring both fractions to common denominator of 40
  • 35/40 + 24/40 =              ⇒ Add up the numbers in the nominator
  • 54/40 =                            ⇒ Simplify by dividing by 2
  • 27/20 =
  • 1 7/20                               ⇒ Convert to mixed fraction

An individual's yearly after-tax income can be expressed as I=52g (1-t/100), where g is the weekly gross pay before taxes and t
Bumek [7]
I=52g(1-\frac{t}{100})

Solving for t:

Divide both sides by 52g:

\frac{I}{52g}=1-\frac{t}{100}

Multiply both sides by -1:

\frac{t}{100}-1=-\frac{I}{52g}

Add 1 to both sides:

\frac{t}{100}=1-\frac{I}{52g}

Multiply both sides by 100:

Answer:

t=100(1-\frac{I}{52g})

Juan solved the system of linear equations
dlinn [17]

Answer:

x =1

y = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

8x - 3y = -1 ------ * 2   part (a)

-5x +2y =1 ------ * 3   part (b)

16x -6y = -2  part (c)

-15x +6y = 3

x = 1

8(1) - 3y = -1   part (d)

8-3y =-1

-3y = -9

y =3

18 - 24i write in trigonometric form
stiks02 [169]

\boxed{18-24i=30(cos(5.36)+isin(5.36))}

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

Unlike 0, we can write any complex number in the trigonometric form:

z=r(cos\alpha+isin\alpha)

We have the complex number:

18-24i

So r can be found as:

r=\sqrt{x^2+y^2} \\ \\ \\ Where: \\ \\ x=18 \\ \\ y=-24 \\ \\ r=\sqrt{18^2+(-24)^2} \\ \\ r=\sqrt{324+576} \\ \\ r=\sqrt{900} \\ \\ r=30

Now for α:

\alpha=arctan(\frac{y}{x}) \\ \\ Since \ the \ complex \ number \ lies \ on \ the \ fourth \ quadrant: \\ \\ \alpha=arctan(\frac{-24}{18})=-53.13^{\circ}  \ or \ 360-53.13=306.87^{\circ}

Finally:

Convert \ into \ radian: \\ \\ 360^{\circ}\times \frac{\pi}{180}=5.36rad \\ \\ \\ Hence: \\ \\ \boxed{18-24i=30(cos(5.36)+isin(5.36))}
