its easier 2 draw out but im 2 lazy...so here are the steps:

- pick a point on line l dats on the left of pt P; call it pt A

- use compass n draw an arc w pt A as center dat goes thro pt P

- keeping the compass at the same angle, draw an arc w pt P as center that intersects w line l. call the pt of interection pt B

- again keeping the compass at the same angle, draw an arc w pt B as center dat goes thro pt P

- the two arcs from pt A n pt B should have 2 intersection pts

- use ruler 2 draw a straight line thro the 2  intersection pts
