Which outcome could be considered a cost of voting?

History

The correct answer is D.)Voting can be time consuming.

The term "cost" refers to the idea that if you are completing one action, than you are missing the chance to use that time for something else. In this case, waiting a long time to vote is considered a cost because you are using that time to vote instead of completing another task that you need to do.

All of the other option choices represent positive effects that voting has on individuals and do not mention the time it takes to vote.

Voting can be time consuming. Because you are at the polls for a long while, so in turn you lose time you could've used for something else..

Hope this helps.

If policemen had as much power to enforce the law as Congress had under the Articles of Confederation to enforce taxes and raise
BARSIC [14]

Answer:

under the Articles of Confederation, Congress could regulate the army, but could not compel the states to send troops. In other words, it could not really raise troops.

As for taxation, under said articles, Congress had no power whatsoevar to tax the states. It could only earn revenue by asking the states for money.

If policemen had as much power as Congress under the Articles of Confederation, then, the police would practically be powerless. I would have to look for funding through private donations, because it would not be entitled to any tax money.

Police would also probably be understaffed, so it would have to rely on voluntaries and people who have a passion for law enforcement.
