This is due to the fact that human beings are dependent upon natural resources for meeting the daily requirements so as to sustain their lives. The increase in the population will increase the dependency on resources. The resources like water, wind, fossil fuels, vegetation, wildlife used by the human society will generate biodegradable wastes. Also the man made resources such as plastics, metals will generate huge amounts of non-biodegradable wastes which will pose difficulty in disposing off.

I would say A.
 B and C can be eliminated because they have to do with using resources more efficiently. Now we're down to A and D, and of the two, I'd say A is most plausible. Globalization is the connection of the world with each other. With all this technology, companies see endless possibilities to sell their products. They use more and more natural resources, which can deplete those resources quickly.
