Hard water is not considered a health hazard. However, it has been stated by the National Research Council that hard drinking water usually donates a small amount towards entire magnesium and calcium in the human dietary requirements.

They further state that in some of the cases, where dissolved magnesium and calcium are very large, water could be a prime contributor of magnesium and calcium to the diet. However, very high hardness, that is, above 300 ppm that is not usual of drinking water arising from surface water, may be related to the higher threat of kidney stones and cardiovascular diseases.

In the majority of the cases of kidney stones, the blood in the body of human being, due to some kind of inherent issues, begins to absorb more calcium from water and food that is in the real sense required. As a consequence, the extra amount of calcium gets deposited on the walls of the kidneys in the process of excretion.

If a particular gene is located on the Z chromosome of this lizard species, describe why a lizard with a ZW genotype has a great
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

ZZ species will take more number of crosses to produce a recessive offspring.

Explanation:

Here Z seems to be the dominant allele.  A species having ZZ or homozygous dominant genotype shall not express the recessive phenotype until unless it has both recessive allele and this is not possible as of now or is dependent on the genotype of mating species and the number of generations of development.

If ZZ mates with WW, the offspring in F1 generation will have genotype ZW

However, if the offspring in the F1 generation are crossed then in next generation we could see organism with recessive phenotype i,e WW

ZW*ZW

ZZ, ZW, ZW, WW

While in case of organism having ZW type genotype, recessive phenotype will occur in the first generation cross with the ZW.
