How does each branch of the federal government "check" the other two branches?
liberstina [14]
The President in the executive branch can veto a law, but the legislative branch can override that veto with enough votes. The executive branch can declare Executive Orders, which are like proclamations that carry the force of law, but the judicial branch can declare those acts unconstitutional.

Questions in the pictures above ^^^
Schach [20]
His points covered three main things, self determination of colonies l, freedom of the seas and the League of Nations. His points failed because France and Britain wanted revenge against Germany so his points were turned down. The only point that made it was the 14th (the League of Nations). But this would eventually fall apart because US congress didn’t want America to be involved in foreign affairs so they didn’t join. Since America was the only super power coming out of the war and didn’t join the league the other countries couldn’t agree on anything.

How did World War I impact women in the United States?
Yuki888 [10]
Probably the most important change that happened at the time was that C - Women worked jobs that had ben held almost exclusively by men.

Due to the fact that the majority of men, or at least a good portion of them, were on the battlefield in Europe, women had to take over the role in certain key areas that were necessary for the victory of the US.
