Answer:

a) Net Present Value = $ 304,495.12

b) Beyer should accept the investment.

Explanation:

The net present value NPV) of a project is the present value of cash inflow less the present value of cash outflow of the project.

NPV = PV of cash inflow - PV of cash outflow

Year PV

1 77,000 × 1.12^(-1) = 68,750.00

2 54,000 × 1.12^(-2) = 43,048.47

3 82,000 × 1.12^(-3) = 58,365.98

4 172,000 × 1.12^(-4) = 109,309.11

5 423,000 × 1.12^(-5)= 240,021.56

Total Present Value 519,495.12

Initial cost (215,000)

Net Present Value 304,495.12

Net Present Value = $ 304,495.12

b) Decision :

Beyer should accept the investment. This will increase the wealth of the shareholders by $ 304,495.12

Vaselesa [24]

Answer:

In marketing, price discrimination refers to selling the same product to different buyers at different prices depending on each buyer's purchasing power or preferences which result in them being able and willing to pay different prices. E.g. a movie theater that charges different prices depending on the age of the movie goers.

In this case, the fact that a factory is located far away from your house might result in a higher price due to delivery costs, but that doesn't meant that it is using price discrimination. E.g. I just purchased a new refrigerator online and I had to pay a delivery fee that increased its price because the seller is from another state. I purchased the refrigerator from that retailer because it lower prices including delivery costs, but someone that purchased it from the same city will probably pay even less than me. But it is just logistics, since I live far away I have to wait 3 days for delivery and pay for it.

A person has a poor credit score due mainly to the amount of debt on credit card and instalment loans. How could the person impr
KIM [24]

Answer: The answer is provided below

Explanation:

The credit score is a number used by lenders to help them decide the likelihood of an individual to repay on time if the person is granted a credit card or a loan. The higher the scores, the likelihood that the person qualifies for credit cards and loans.

A person that has a poor credit score due to the amount of debt on credit card and instalment loans can improve his or her score by paying off the debt. When an individual pays of his or her debt, the person will have an improved credit score which can be used to apply for further loans.

Furthermore, such individual can also keep his or her balances low on the credit cards. A credit card with high debts doesn't represent the individual well when applying for a loan which will lead to a negative credit score.
