It was the war that was fought mainly in Europe and the Middle East between the Central Powers and the Allies on July 28, 1914 to November 11, 1918 with the collapse of the Central Powers.

The World War l was caused by the collective event of imperialism, Militarism, alliance system, Nationalism but there was one single event the contributed which was the assassination of archd-uke Ferdinand of Austria which started a chain of events leading to war

The aftermath of the war was led to lot of destroyed empires, creation of new nation-states and encouraged independence movements in Europe's colonies. It also forced the United States to become a world power and led directly to Soviet communism and the rise of Hitler
