Answer: Mean is 23.63

Median is 24

Mode is 25

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean= sum of the values in the data set/ number of values in the data set.

For the above question, To find the mean, sum the values in the data set and divide by the number of values in the data set

= 15 + 16 + 21+ 23+ 25 + 25+ 25 + 39/8

Mean= 189/8

=23.63

Median is the mid numbers of the data set, from the question, since the number of values in the set is an even number (8)

Median will be the addition of two middle numbers divided by 2

= 23 + 25/2

= 48/2

Median = 24

Mode is the most occurring number in the data set. For the above question, 25 appeared 3 times in the data set.

Mode = 25

Brad says that if a second number is 125% of the first number, then the first number must be 75% of the second number. Is he cor
olga55 [171]

Answer: He is not correct.

Steps:

Let x1 and x2 be the first and second number, respectively.

x_2 = \frac{5}{4}x_1\\\frac{4}{5}x_2 =x_1

In words, if the second is 125%, or 5/4 of the first number (first equation),

then the first is 4/5 of the second, which is 0.8 or 80%.
