Answer:

Show that life can only come from life (rather than spontaneous generation)

Explanation:

Pasteur boiled a broth in a flask with an S-shaped neck. Thebend in the neck prevented particles from the air reaching the broth, but still allowed air to get in.  No bacteria grew in the flask.

When the flask neck was broken so that particles could get inside, the broth became cloudy, showing that microorganisms were only able to grow from other living things from the outside, and not spontaneously from nothing

Explain why using different seed types along with different water temperatures is an improper experimental design.
Darya [45]

Answer:

Because each subject in an experiment has to have equal conditions to ensure the most accurate results. And water temperature is known to impact plant growth. An experiment using different water temperatures is a terribly inaccurate experiment.

Which cell junctions form a barrier to the passage of materials?
kkurt [141]

Answer:

The correct answer is - tight junctions.

Explanation:

Tight junctions are one of the cell-cell junctions that make a barrier to the passage of material which is a present in epithelia. This barrier is impermeable to most of the materials with soluble molecules. This barrier is made up of the occludin and claudin proteins.

Tight epithelia have tight junctions and examples of such junctions are the distal convoluted tubule or DCT, and the collecting duct of the nephron in the kidney.

Thus, the correct answer is - tight junctions.
