The correct answer is A) it pushed American business interests out of Manchuria.

Japan responded to gaining control over Manchuria in that it pushed American business interests out of Manchuria.

In September 1931, Japanese troops invaded Manchuria over the excuse that China had sabotaged the railway. Japan had total control of Manchuria in February 1932 and the answer of China was to ask for the intervention of the League of Nations. The Assembly of the League of Nation agreed to demand Japan to free Manchuria. Japan did not accept the resolution of the League of Nations and attacked China and the US pushed American business interests out of Manchuria.

ch4aika [34]
The Sherman Antitrust Act was made to break up the trusts that were made in the government. For example, let's say BettaFlyer got into the presidential elections, if I vote for him and he wins, I will get a job in the government, that's a trust. Your answer would be B! Corporations could vote for a candidate and in return get something in the government.

Which of the following BEST defines the underlined word in the sentence below?
In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

Option A=> the act of failing to observe an agreement

Explanation:

The underlined words in the question above “Unsatisfied with their explanation, Technic Inc. sued Androchon Ltd. for breach of contract.” is BREACH OF CONTRACT.

When two or more people make an agreement or when there is an agreement between two nations or an agreement between an employer and an employee we say that the two parties involved have a CONTRACT.

In the contract there is definitely going to be terms and conditions and when one of the parties break any of these terms and conditions we say that there is a BREACH OF CONTRACT.

Therefore, option A is the correct answer with the explanation in the paragraph above.

Declaration of Independence essay Need help Immediately!!!!
cestrela7 [59]
The Declaration of independence was a great successful document written by Thomas Jefferson a great idealist and a man from the age of enlightment, he was a great writer and was the one chosen to write the declaration of independence, he wrote it with a lot of thought about how people’s emotions would be, how they would react, and how it would work all to their advantage, and with very rhetoric language he wrote this document, stating truths and lies about what was happening in the colonies at that time.
The Declaration was the spark to set off the revolution that was the most successful revolution in human history, making it very great and important. It written to the king of Great Britain, to the people of the United States of America.
It it clear and reasonable that the declaration was made for many causes that weren’t being attended because of the British thinking that even the lowest class in the military was above the civil law of the colonies, and that no one should immigrate to such a place, taking away so many laws from the people making them pay high taxes well mainly the rich for the lands they owned which was good in a way but for all those who wrote the declaration that mainly had a lot of land it was horrible, but for the poor folk it was good in a way but not even for the poorest of peasants to be able to trade with other merchants from other countries ruined the economy in the colonies. Great Britain was the only country and place they could and would trade to it was illegal for the colonists to be able to make money by trading their raw material with any other country.

In what ways were Tsar Nicholas and Vladimir Lenin similar in their leadership style?
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

Well, first you'll have to identify themes of their rule.

Style of rule -

NII was obviously an autocrat (even though he, in theory anyway, had a representative  body of the peoples, the Duma. But he hung onto his absolute rule with the Fundamental  Laws (1905)), and Lenin had spoke alot of 'dictatorship of the proletariat,' both pretty absolute.

Repression (secret police, censorship) -

NII had the Okhrana, and tried to continue his father's 'Reaction.' Secret police for the purpose of preserving the status quo, keeping the Tsars in power.

Lenin's Cheka was far more efficient, and though the total amount of the Cheka's victims in the  civil war are officially 12,000 and something(wiki it), historians widely believe this figure to be in  excess 500,000. Lenin therefore could be judged as the worse of the two.

Reform -

  • NII - Illusory Reform (October Manifesto created the Duma, and as mentioned, this had no real authority),
  • Stolypin's land reforms did almost nothing. Lenin issues the Workers Control Decree, and also
  • the Bolshevik Land Decree - however these were only very temporary (before a return to a very
  • authoritarian economic set-up (strict discipline etc). These therefore could also be judged as illusory.

Similarities-

  • Both used concessions/reform in order to maintain control. Nicholas with the October Manifesto and the creation of the Duma and Lenin with the NEP to appease the SR's and the rightists of the Bolsheviks.
  • They both 'backtracked' on the reforms however with Lenin calling the NEP a 'tactical retreat' and would've
  • reverted it had he been alive and Nicholas made the 1906 constitution/ Fundamental laws which limited  the Duma's powers and maintained his position as an autocrat.
