Spain and Portugal became interested in Latin America last 16th Century. They were interested in the minerals that are present in the country like gold and silver besides of the raw materials.  Latin America was rich with natural resources that were needed by the colonizers.

Third, he developed the "Silk Road" and established foreign trade. Fourth, he developed agriculture and encourage people to be wise on spending their earnings. And lastly, he changed the religion from Confucianism to Taoism.
