Worth 32 points!!!! Find the coordinates of the other endpoint of the segment, given its midpoint and one endpoint. (Hint: Let

 (x,y) be the unknown endpoint. Apply the midpoint formula, and solve the two equations for x and y.)

Answer:

The other endpoint is (-27,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

The midpoint is (x1+x2)/2 , (y1+y2)/2 = -22, -7

-22 = (x1+x2)/2

One of the endpoints is (-17,-15)

-22 = (-17+x2)/2

Multiply by 2

-22*2 = -17+x2

-44=-17+x2

Add 17 to each side

-44+17 = -17+17+x2

-27 = x2

-7 = (y1+y2)/2

One of the endpoints is (-17,-15)

-7 = (-15+y2)/2

Multiply by 2

-7*2 = -15+y2

-14 = -15+y2

Add 15 to each side

-14+15 = 15-15+y2

1 = y2

The other endpoint is (-27,1)

What is the value of x?

sin(x+22)°=cos(2x−7)°
Snezhnost [94]
Remember that \sin(\theta) = \cos(90^\circ - \theta)

Thus, we can solve for x.
x + 22 = 90 - (2x - 7)
x + 22 = 97 - 2x
3x + 22 = 97
3x = 75
x = 25

A metal washer is made by cutting out a circle 13.2 mm in diameter from a larger circle. To the nearest tenth, what is the area
Lana71 [14]
The area of the washer will be the area of the smaller circle SUBTRACTED from the area of the larger circle.

Area of a circle = pi * r^2 where r is your radius (which is half the diameter).
Larger circle area = pi *(diameter/2) ^2.
Smaller circle area = pi * (13.2/2)^2 = pi * 6.6^2 = 136.8484....

So...the area of the washer = larger circle area - 136.4848...
