Answer:

The cost of one senior citizen ticket is $5

The cost of one student ticket $7

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost of one senior citizen ticket be x and the cost of one student ticket be y

First day :

Number of senior citizen ticket sold = 7

Number of student ticket sold = 14

Told amount earned  = $133

So the equation will be,

7x + 14y = 133 ------------(1)

Second day :

Number of senior citizen ticket sold = 8

Number of student ticket sold = 7

Told amount eared = $89

8x + 7y = 89-----------------------(2)

Multiplying equation (2) by 2

16x + 14y = 178----------------------(3)

Solving (1) and (3)

16x + 14y = 178

7x + 14y = 133

-------------------------

9x  = 45

--------------------------

x = \frac{45}{9}

x= 5

Now substituting the x value in eq(1)

7(5) +14y = 133

35 +14y = 133

14y = 133 -35

14y = 98

y = \frac{98}{14}

y = 7

Dhaulagiri is the 7th highest mountain in the world. Ms. Fink is walking through
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

4833 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that her angle of elevation at the first recording is 47.3 at an altitude of 4900 m

We use Pythagoras Theorem to get this done

We can say that the opposite of the angle is the altitude, while the hypotenuse of the triangle, is the distance between herself and the top

Using the sine angle rule, we have

Sine 47.3 = 4900 / h

h = 4900 / sin 47.3

h = 4900 / 0.7349

h = 6668 m

This means that she was 6668 m away from the top of the mountain

She then moves 1000 m closer to the mountain top, this means that our h = 6668 - 1000

Using the same sine angle rule, we have

Sine 58.5 = o / 5668

o = 5668 * sine 58.5

o = 5668 * 0.8526

o = 4833 m

She is 4833 m above the sea level

A jar at the fishing shop holds 72 worms. A cup holds 8 worms. How many times
Anettt [7]

Answer:

9 times. 72/8=t or 72=8t.

Explanation:

I'm afraid the answer choices are slightly mixed up, but acceptable answers would probably include 72/8=t or 72=8t. Simply put the two numbers into a fraction (72/8) to get how many times larger or smaller the thing is. In this case, it would be 9 times as many worms.

Suppose you start at the origin, move along the x-axis a distance of 4 units in the positive direction, and then move downward a
Zanzabum

Answer:

(4,0,-5)

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we move 4 points along +ve x-axis so,  x coordinate is 4

We did not move any point along y-axis so  y coordinate is 0

we moved 5 points along -ve z-axis so z coordinate is -5

so our position is (x,y,z) = (4,0,-5)

Write a polynomial to represent the value of d dimes and n nickels.
nadya68 [22]
Answer: 0.10d + 0.05n
Note: this value expression is in dollars (not cents)
If you want the expression in cents instead of dollars, then it would be 10d+5n

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The value of just the dimes only is 0.10d dollars
The value of just the nickels only is 0.05n dollars
Combined the total value is 0.10d+0.05n dollars
