First, the changing in the energy sources used and second the increased of mechanization in the industries and the improvements in the worker efficiency.

Explanation:

The First Industrial Revolution was characterized by the invention of the rail transport that used to help moving passengers and goods from one place to another with steam power. Factories became more automated with assembly lines. The middle class diminished, as the rich got richer and poor got poorer. There was a transition from steam power to that of oil and electric.

What was the purpose of bread and circuses
poizon [28]
Assuming you're referring to bread and circuses as they existed during the Roman Empire, their purpose was to keep the populous entertained and distracted from the fact that the Empire was in shambles so they wouldn't revolt.

What does the Civil War's Anaconda Plan entail?

The comical portrayal of General Winfield Scott's "Anaconda Plan" to choke the southern states by stopping cotton exports and all imports is found in Scott's Great Snake, which was first published at the start of the Civil War. On inland rivers, blockading fleets were also utilized to support Union military operations.
