Time taken for Kristin to catch up with the truck will be found using the formula
time=(distance)/(speed)
distance=20 km
speed=90 km/h
thus
time=20/90=2/9 hours

Answer: 2/9 hours

How to estimate to check that the answer is reasonable
avanturin [10]
Basically estimating is rounding, im going to futher explain this with an example.
For example:
If I wanted to round a number by it's nearest tenth such as 678
(*example)
there are 70 tenths
now when you are estimating when you are rounding to the nearest number if the number has a higher value then 5 you increase the number if it is lower than 5 you STAY the same.

now
678,
since the number next to it is 8, 7 increases and everything else turns into zero. so 678 rounded to the nearest 10th
is 680!

Hope this example helped!

Solve for M. E=cm/r
A. M=e+r/c
B. M=er/c
C. M=e-rc
D. M=e+rc
iren2701 [21]
E=cm/r To solve for m, you have to get it by itself on one side of the equal sign. To do that you have to eliminate c and r and put them at the other side. r is being divided by m, so you have to do the opposite to get it on the other side, which is multiply. Multiplying r to both sides will remove the division, and give you Er=cm. So... B is the answer :)
