Find area of room
aera=legnth wtimes width
in a square, legnth=width
aera=legnth^2
legnth=14 feet
convert o inches
14*12=168 inches
area=168^2=28224 square inches

how many tiles will cover all of floor?
aka
how many 192 in^2 is at least 28224 (at least, because we need to cover the whole floor without gaps)
192x>28224
divide both sides by 192
x>147

147 is the number of tiles we need

Answer:

Acceleration and velocity are two different things. The acceleration is the rate at which the velocity is increasing. So while the velocity very well may be increasing, the rate (acceleration) at which it is, is decreasing.

Xavier has 51 coins in nickels and dimes and has 4.15 in all how many of each does he have
Agata [3.3K]
Start a basic equation
n = nickel
d = dimes
n + d = 51
since nickels are five cents, it is .05
And since dimes are ten cents, it is .10
So the second equation is .05n + .10d = 4.15
If n + d = 51, than n = 51 - d
plug that into the second equation
.05(51-d) + .10d = 4.15
Solve the equation
d = 32
Plug that into n = 51 - d(32) to get 19
32 dimes and 19 nickels
