$\frac{x}{4} = - \frac{1}{3}$

x = 4 : -1/3

$x =-\frac{3}{4}$

⇒1/4x = 1/3 - 2/3

⇒1/4x = -1/3

⇒-3 = 4x 

⇒ x = - 3/4
