Answer:

To decrease the federal budget.

Explanation:

<u>President Calvin Coolidge was the president of the United States from 1923 to 1929</u> who was one of the few presidents who left office with less financial debt than he first started with. His policy of <u>"economy in government"</u> led to the economic boom in the United States.

His most important work as the president was to make sure that the economy did not unnecessarily burden the people but at the same time, cause no serious damage to the whole economy of the country. He presented an economic plan whereby he <u>reduced the taxes imposed on the common people and also reduce the budget of the federal government</u>. He strongly believed that cutting or reducing both were vital for the sustenance of the country's economy without imposing a massive risk or destruction to the people. Rather, he believed that those who had more income should have the opportunity to <u>"better business, more of the comforts of life, general economic improvement, a larger opportunity for education, and greater freedom for all the people"</u>.

Which of the following best describes the United States' role in World War II?
Olegator [25]

Question: Which of the following best describes the United States' role in World War II?

<u>Options:</u>

<em>A. The United States played a key role in the military defeat of Nazi Germany.  </em>

<em>B. The United States' late entry into the war meant that very few American lives were lost.  </em>

<em>C. The United States declared war on Nazi Germany but refused to ally with the Soviet Union.  </em>

D. The United States was a neutral power that did not support either side.

Answer: The correct answer is option: A. The United States played a key role in the military defeat of Nazi Germany.

Explanation: Roosevelt, was the U.S. Commander-in-Chief, this means that he commanded nearly 90% of America's military resources towards the defeat of Hitler. The might of the world's largest industrial nation was turned against Nazi Germany due to Hitler declaring war on America. This was his biggest political mistake of the war because he had reduced the odds of Nazi Germany's survival. As a result, now he had to contend with three principal opponents: America, Britain and Russia. These 3 combined, created a great manpower and their total war production capacity dwarfed Nazi Germany.

Which statement describes the role of woman in Ancient Rome
Vilka [71]

Answer:

A woman’s role in the domus depended on many different things, like age and wealth, but usually she was under the control of the pater familias.

Explanation:

In ancient Roman empire, the role of males and women are distinctly separated. This could be seen in the free born women in ancient Rome not being able to hold political office or vote unlike their male counterpart.

The role of women, depends on so many things like her age which could enable her to become a priest in the priestly office of the Vestals or wealth which could see her controlling influence through private negotiation as obtainable with Cornelia, mother of the Gracchi, or Fulvia, who commanded an army and issued coins bearing her image.

Overall, the woman still falls under the authority of the man who is the head of the family.
