Answers:

Polymers are elastic because their strength of recovering their original shape is high having very weak inter-molecular forces and low Young's modulus

Explanation:

Polymer chains are held together in polymers which are elastic materials by very weak intermolecular bonds, which aloow the polymers to stretch in response to macroscopic stresses applied to them. This extreme flexibility in elastic polymers can extend from 5–700%, depending on the specific material. This elasticity is not due to covalent cross-links, but instead for thermodynamic reasons. So we can say that polymers are elastic because they have very weak inter-molecular forces and low Young's modulus.

Releasing the stress allows the kinks, coils and loops to form again, and the rubber returns to its original dimensions. Materials made of long, tangled molecules stretch very easily. Their elastic modulus is very small. They are called elastomers because they are very "elastic" polymers

miskamm [114]

Answer:

A method that uses a very large national and international database to access and work with the sequence information.

This is an interdisciplinary field which develops various types of methods and software tools for the understanding the biological data.

Bioinformatics includes the the use of computer programming language and databases for the generation of data.

The work is generally based on the dry laboratory. It works on the genomics and proteomics.

Instructions: 1 Using the DNA sequence, make a complementary RNA strand from both the human and the cow. Write the RNA directly
Ksenya-84 [330]

Answer:

Please find the complete table attached as an image

Explanation:

This task is describing the processes of transcription and translation, which are the two processes involved in gene expression. The DNA of a human and cow is given in the table of the attached image and we're asked to transcribe into a complementary RNA, and subsequently translate into an amino acid using the CODON table (genetic code).

- Transcription is the process whereby DNA is used as a template for the synthesis of RNA based on complementary base pairing i.e. A-U, G-C, T-A etc.

- Translation is the process whereby RNA transcript is used to synthesize an amino acid sequence. The mRNA is read in a group of three nucleotides called CODON, where each of this codon specifies an amino acid.

The table has been completed and attached below. Note that in the amino acids row;

GLY means Glycine

ILE means Isoleucine

VAL means Valine

GLN means Glutamine

CYS means Cysteine

THR means Threonine

SER means Serine

PHE means Phenylalanine

ALA means Alanine

LEU means Leucine

The image shows landforms in Monument Valley, Utah
Vitek1552 [10]

folds

anticlines

synclines

Explanation:

The image showing the Monument Valley in Utah attached to this problem shows a folded terrain dotted by series of synclines and anticlines.

 • A fold is a product of ductile deformation of a rock.
 • In the formation of a fold, compressive forces acts towards each other and causes the buckling of a rock mass.
 • This leads to the formation of series of synclines and anticlines.
 • The synclines are the bowl shaped basins that sags downward.
 • The anticilnes are the upward arching structures that looks likes a dome.

defon

Answer:

As i am asked to lead a research team to observe gorillas in their natural environment I will prefer a team having persons expert in having knowledge of forest in which we are doing research on gorillas. They must be experience in working with gorillas and familiar with their nature.

My team should have a person who know to use the tranquilizer gun because to collect the DNA sample gorilla needs to be tranquilized. My team should have one veterinary doctor who can examine the animal and take the DNA sample.

People with Good communication skills, observation skills and critical thinking skills are required in the team to successfully complete the research.
