What pronouns are mostly used in second person writing

English
1 answer:
ololo11 [35]3 years ago

Answer: you, your, you're, yours etc.

Explanation: Think of second person as the narrator speaking to you, the reader, and that you're the main character in the story. If it's not a story, it's like a cookbook, "You mix the flour with the butter" or like an instruction manual telling you how to put your new dresser together. I hope this helps!

Plz, help!<br> Why is getting the story first a big deal?
klemol [59]

Answer:

It's a big deal, so you can understand and summarize/ paraphrase the story.

Explanation:

If you read the story, you will understand and comprehend what is happening inside the story. If you don't read the story and just answer the questions, you might get frustrated because you didn't read the story, you don't know the answers.

Here is an example:

Little Red Riding Hood

1. How did the wolf manipulate the girl?

You don't know the answer to the question because you didn't read the story, you are either forced to guess and use context clues or go back and read the story.

I hope this helped :)

For a bronze alloy, the stress at which plastic deformation begins is 275 MPa (40,000 psi), and the modulus of elasticity is
Eduardwww [97]

Answer:

(a) The maximum load that may be applied to a specimen with a cross-sectional area of 325 mm² without plastic deformation = 89,375 Newton.

(b) The maximum length to which the specimen may be stretched without causing plastic deformation = 115.275 mm.

Explanation:

(a) Given that the applied stress at which plastic deformation begins = 275 MPa = 275,000,000 N/m²,

and the cross-sectional area of the specimen = 325 mm² = 0.000325 m²,

the maximum load can be calculated from the formula: maximum load = applied stress × area of specimen = 275,000,000 N/m² × 0.000325 m² = 89,375 Newton.

(b) To calculate the maximum length, we will use the formula:

L = L1 (1 + [stress at which plastic deformation begins ÷ modulus of elasticity])

where L = maximum length to which sample may be stretched/deformed without causing plastic deformation.

L1 = original length of specimen = 115 mm

stress at which plastic deformation begins = 275,000,000 N/m²

modulus of elasticity = 115 GPa = 115,000,000,000 N/m²

Therefore, L = 115 mm (1 + [275,000,000 ÷ 115,000,000,000]) = 115.275 mm

Can you give an example of comparison and contrast?
denis23 [38]

Sure! So, for starters, you want to compare and contrast two things that are similar, not very different. For example, you would compare and contrast reading a book to listening to an e-book, and you would not compare and contrast reading a book to ridding a bus.

so, for an example of this:

Reading a book is the same as listening to an e-book because both ways you are getting the same information. Reading a book and listening to an e-book are different because reading needs, you guessed it, reading, but you don't need to read to listen to an e-book.

Hope this helps!
