25 percent. Assuming wrinkled seeds are recessive. The ratio for two heterozygous crosses for one trait will stay the same-- 3:1, with 1 being recessive.

Ans.

Heterozygous plants are those plants that have two different alleles for a particular gene or trait. The garden pea plant shows two alternative seed shape, round and wrinkled. The allele for round shape is denoted by 'R", which is dominant trait over recessive allele for wrinkled shape ('r').

When plants heterozygous for round seeds (Rr) are self-crossed, two types of gametes are formed, R and r. The resulting offspring show both round (75%) and wrinkled (25%) seeds.

Thus, 25% offspring will show wrinkled seeds as there is one wrinkled plant out of four offspring plants as shown in Punnett square below:

How does mitosis in plant cells differ from that in animal cells?      A. Plant cells lack a cell membrane. B. Plant cells lack
skelet666 [1.2K]
The correct option is C.
Mitosis occur in both plants and animal cells. The difference in mitosis between the plant and animal cells occur during the cytokineses stage. In this stage, the animal cells form cleavages which gives rise to daughter cells. Because of the rigid cell wall that is present in plants they can not form cleavages, instead they form cell plate at the center of the dividing cells; this cell plate separate the newly formed cells.

Will you find different nitrogenous bases in humans and other animals?
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

No

Explanation:

The universality of the genetic code refers to how the codons for amino acids are always the same in almost all species. Amino acids have corresponding nitrogenous bases in pairs of three called a codon. so to have the same amino acids, all species would need the same nitrogenous bases.
