Answer: projection/transference = unconscious contents are projected on outer object. This is what usually happens in relationships and creates enormous attraction. Then, a person attributes non-existing qualities to the loved one (politician, friend, teacher etc etc.). Result of that is a completely imaginary relationship which has no support in reality. Projection/transference is an unconscious process (i.e. it has nothing to do with conscious intentions of the ego) which is responsible for unhealthy idealization.

Explanation: unhealthy idealization (which creates infantile dependency) must be confronted with reality. This is what depth psychology calls "withdrawal of projection".

Answer:

Explanation:

Oregon trail was around 2,000 miles long.

The trip took about five to six months and in some cases almost a year.

The trail was the the only land route for people looking to move west. It let people move from the populated east and expand westward.

California trail was open from 1841-1869

Led more than 250,00 people who were seeking gold and was thought to be the biggest mass migration in US history.

People used the California trail because it led them to goldfields and rich farmland.

Santa fe Trail was a highway that connected Missoiri to Santa fe, New Mexico.

In 1846 The trail was used in the Mexican American War, were Americans invaded Mexico.

Some people used the trail to move out west but a lot of people used it as a trade route. Settlers gathered up goods from the US and went to Santa fe hoping to make a profit.

Hope this helps a little bit!
