Chemistry

Answer:

 • Carbonate

Explanation:

H₂CO₃ is an oxyacid, which is the general name for the acids that contain oxygen, i.e. the chemical formula for an oxyacid contains hydrogen, a nonmetal, and oxygen: HₐXₓOₙ.

When an oxyacid ionizes it forms protons (H⁻) and oxyanions.

When H₂CO₃(aq) inonizes completely it does it according the equation:

 • H₂CO₃(aq) → 2 H⁺ (aq) + CO₃²⁻ (aq)

Meaning that it inoizes into two H⁺ cations and one CO₃²⁻ anion. The latter is the oxyanion.

Cations are positive ions. Anions are negative ions.

The name of H₂CO₃ is carbonic acid. From that you must know that the name of the oxyanion CO₃²⁻ is carbonate: the root ic from the acid changes to ate in the anion.

Summarizing:

 • Acid formula: H₂CO₃
 • Acid name : Carbonic acid
 • Oxyanion name : Carbonate
 • Oxyanion formula : CO₃²⁻

Additionally, you must know that when only one proton (instead of two) is released from the acid you form the ion HCO₃⁻ which is named bicarbonate or hydrogen carbonate.

Arrange the following measurements, in seconds, from the greatest bias to the least bias. 6.63 ± 0.01 s, 6.6 ± 0.1 s, 6.52 ± 0.0
lord [1]
I understand here "bias" to be the uncertainty of measurements. So the order will be the following:

6.4 ± 0.5 s
6.6 ± 0.1 s,
6.63 ± 0.01 s,
6.52 ± 0.05 s,

(notice how the second number, the one behind the symbol ± gets smaller, as the bias gets smaller).

A Rectangular Prism has a height of 4cm, a width of 5cm, a length of 1.2 cm, and a mass of 85,000 g. What is it's density?
wolverine [178]

Answer:

The answer is D.

Explanation:

Volume (V) = l x w x h

V = 4 x 5 x 1.2

V = 20 x 1.2

V = 24

Density = Mass/Volume or D = M/V

D = 85,000/24

D = 3541.66666666

kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

B: The transport oxygen and nutrients around your body and help to get rid of wastes
