arron takes his dog for a walk afer school, he walks 5 blocks east and then 4 blocks north. if he was able to take a direct rout
nlexa [21]

Hi!

We are given the information found in the picture below.

Note: The directions aren't correct, but the triangle works for this problem.

The "direct path" is the hypotenuse of this triangle.

To find this, we use the Pythagorean Theorem, where a and b are 2 legs of the triangle, and c is the hypotenuse, aka the longest side of any triangle:

a^2+b^2=c^2

We know a and b and want c

4^2+5^2=c^2

16+25=c^2

41=c^2

Therefore, c is approximately 6.403

Pls help meh pls<br> Find the area of the figure. (Sides meet at right angles.)
Vlad [161]
We find the area of the total square which is 8in • 8in=64in^2 . Now we find the area of the small quadrilateral which is 4in•4in=16 in^2.
Now we subtract the area of the small quadrilateral from the big quadrilateral’s area 64in^2 -16in^2 leaving us with the are of 48in^2 of the figure

A cube made of an unknown material has a height of 9 cm. The mass of this cube is 3,645 grams. Calculate the density of this cub
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of the cube = s^3

s = 9cm

V = 9 * 9 * 9

V = 729 cm^3

d = mass / volume

d = 3645 / 729

d = 5 grams / cm^3
