She couldn't risk someone telling anybody about the underground railroad. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, got civil rights for African American people. But after all that work he ended up losing his life in the end. Someone who didn't believe that blacks and whites should be treated equal shot him. It was a sad time and a big loss to many people. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's method was non-violence.
