Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

If we understand 2 properties of isosceles trapezoids, then we can solve for x and y easily.

First, the two sides, "2x-13" and "x-3" are equal, as shown also by red line.

So, we equate them and find x first. Shown below:

2x-13=x-3\\2x-x=-3+13\\x=10

Now, another property is:

Any lower base angle is supplementary to any upper base angle. That means the angle y is supplementary to "3y-4". Supplementary means that if we add up the two angles, it will be 180 degrees. So:

y+3y-4=180\\4y=180+4\\4y=184\\y=46

From the answer choices, answer choice B is right

Average speed =   (distance final - distance initial)/(time final - time initial)
Average speed = (30-0)km /(100 -0)min = 3/10 km/min

3/10 km/min *60 min/1 h = 180/10 km/h= 18 km/h

PLEASE HELP WITH MATH AND BEST GETS BRAINLIEST. PLEASE SHOW WORK.
krek1111 [17]
Well, we know the amount of cups of sugar it calls per 1/2 teaspoon, so all we need to do to find the amount of cups of sugar per teaspoon is multiply by 2, since 1/2 teaspoon * 2 = 1 teaspoon.

2/3 * 2 = 1 1/3

The unit rate is 1 1/3 cups per teaspoon
Hope that helped =)

Can someone help me understand this question?
JulijaS [17]
Hey there!

For Part A, because the amount earned on Sunday isn't specified, we can call this additional income x. Because we're writing an expression, we don't need an equal sign. The expression will be (x + 14).

For Part B, "2 less than" will mean "– 2" and "twice than" will mean the amount of dogs that Alicia walked times 2. We can call the amount that Alicia walked y to avoid confusion with the last expression (though you could use whatever variable here) and your expression will be (2y – 2).

Hope this helped you out! :-)

Solve each pair of simulation equation.Giving both solutions. Multiply both equations by suitable numbers before adding/subtract
pashok25 [27]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

I haven't got time to do all these by I'll give you the method in each case.

You have to make the x or y term equal (or 1 term + and other -) in both equations before adding or subtracting.

A . Multiply  equation 2 by 2 and subtract (to eliminate x)

- don't forget to multiply EACH TERM by 2.

B. Multiply  equation 2 by -2 and add.

C.  Multiply  equation 1 by 3 and equation 2 by 2 ( this will give -6y and +6y in the resulting equations ) so  you then add to eliminate y.

D.  Multiply equation 1 by 13 and equation  and equation 2 by 2 to eliminate x then add.
