Answer:

457.8394 K

Explanation:

v_e = Escape velocity = 2.38 km/s

T = Temperature

R = Gas constant = 8.314 J/mol K

M = Molar mass = 2.016 g/mol

The rms velocity of a molecule is given by

v_r=\sqrt{\frac{3RT}{M}}\\\Rightarrow v_r^2=\frac{3RT}{M}\\\Rightarrow T=\frac{v_r^2M}{3R}

Here, v_r=v_e=2.38\ km/s

T=\frac{v_e^2M}{3R}\\\Rightarrow T=\frac{(2.38\times 10^3)^2\times 2.016\times 10^{-3}}{3\times 8.314}\\\Rightarrow T=457.8394\ K

The temperature of the hydrogen molecule would be 457.8394 K

hammer [34]

Answer:

6 light years = 57 million km

Explanation:

Given;

A light year = 9.5 million km

To calculate how far is 6 light years;

6 light years = 6 × 1 light year = 6 × 9.5 million km

6 light years = 57 million km

The mass of a certain neutron star is 2.5x10^30kg and the radius 7000m. what is the force of gravity on a 1kg object of the surf
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

3.42N

Explanation:

*not too sure bc i left my physics notes at school so it might not be 100% accurate :p*

Use the equation: F = (GMm)/(r^2)

F = force of gravity

G = gravitational constant (6.7x10^-11)

M = mass1 (2.5x10^30kg)

m = mass2 (1kg)

r = radius (7000m)

Plug it in: F = ((6.7x10^-11)(2.5x10^30)(1)) / (7000^2)

F = (1.675x10^20) / (4.9x10^7)

F = 3.4183673x10^12

F = 3.42N

Why do the passengers in high-altitude jet planes feel the sensation of weight while passengers in an orbiting space vehicle, su
kykrilka [37]

Passengers in an aircraft are subject to the Normal and Gravity Force acting on them at a low 'orbit', so tiny that it can be many times compared to the same surface of the earth when speaking in general terms.

In a high orbit space vehicle or in the same space, said force decreases considerably or simply disappears, generating the sensation of weightlessness.

Remember that the Force of Gravity is given under the principle

F_g = \frac{GMm}{r^2}

Where,

G = Gravitational Universal constant

M = Mass of the planet

m = mass of the object

r = Distance from center of the planet

When the radius grows considerably the gravitational force begins to decrease.
