The Indian Appropriations Act of 1885 encouraged American Indians tosell their lands.

Further Explanations:

The Indian Appropriations act was the continuation of President Grant peace policies stipulating the United government to stop treating the Indians of the plains as an Independent nation. Instead, they should be represented as the wards of the State. The act also proceeded as the inspiration for the Americans Indians to have full ownership of their lands.

Numerous acts were passed during that era as the resultant of this act of which the most remarkable was the landmark act. The landmark act consisted of the “Appropriation bill” passed in context to the Indian affairs of 1851. The act was engaged into effect by President Grover Cleveland after the several attempts made by Oklahoman Boomer to enter Indian Territory. Congress ratified the act and granted Indian tribes to claim and sell their lands.

Should the United States have helped Germany following World War II? PLS HELP ASAP!!!
aleksley [76]

Answer:

Yes

Explanation:

The United States did the right decision in helping Germany after the World War II. Even though Germany was the country that caused the most damage, and it was the one that was the main aggressor, it was very wise from the United States that they helped this country after the war. The reason why it was a good decision is that it helped the country develop economically and strictly focus on it, thus improving the lives of the people. When the people have descent living and are happy they would not go to extremes because of some politician's ideology. And taken in consideration that the Germans followed Hitler mostly because they were living in terrible conditions and were desperate, this seems to be the best possible move.

Facism and nazism in Europe during the 1920s and 1930s may best be characterized as
enot [183]
Facism and Nazism developed out of a general crisis of the European political system connected with the rise of the mass participation state from the late nineteenth century to the end of World War I. The mass participation state was marked by five features: an unprecedented expansion of the number of voters brought on by universal manhood suffrage and in some cases by the extension of the vote to women; the development of mass communications; a high degree of mass mobilization, initially by revolutionary socialist parties; new economic and social demands put forward by democratic and revolutionary organizations; and fragmented, poorly organized middle-class political party structures, largely legacies of the nineteenth-century restricted franchise. Fascism was motivated by deep-seated fears of social and political disintegration and of political revolution on the part of both ruling elites and large sectors of the middle and lower-middle classes. These classes had little to gain from a socialist revolution. Fascist and Nazi movements appeared throughout Europe during the period between World Wars I and II, but only in Italy and Germany did they come to power and develop into regimes.

What was one of the first big Imperial events in Asia/China?
telo118 [61]
ONE of them that I know well was the massacre of the last of the Samurai. A band has made a song on it known as Shiroyama. 500 Samurai were left after a long time of modernization. Given they still followed the old ways, they didn’t have the same equipment as the Imperial forces which had early versions of firearms. After the last of the Samurai were in an encounter with imperial forces, it was swords brought to a gunfight. After the battle, all of the Samurai perished and their ways died out over time.

The policy described in the passage most contributed to which of the following Cold War developments? A. The rise of McCarthyism
g100num [7]
Without giving us the passage you have in front of you, maybe you can figure it out on your own (or perhaps already did). Which of the themes is evident in the passage you're looking at?

The rise of McCarthyism: Senator Joseph McCarthy led a vigorous campaign to root out all persons that had any suspicion of being communist sympathizers.

The elimination of the House Un-American Activities Committee: That was part of the backlash against McCarthyism, seeing that McCarthy and others had gone to far in their anti-communism crusade.

Opposition to Republicans supporting the Korean War: Though Truman's actions to get involve the United States in the war in Korean were initially popular, that popularity began to dwindle once China entered into the conflict and it became apparent this was going to be a protracted and difficult struggle.

The Truman Doctrine was first stated by the president to Congress in 1947, saying: "It must be the policy of the United States to support free people who are resisting attempted subjugation by armed minorities or by outside pressures." Essentially, the Truman Doctrine pledged American effort elsewhere in the world to check the spread of communist and Soviet influence. The policy was first put into action in 1948 by providing economic support to Greece and Turkey to stave off communist movement in those countries.
