Hello there!

Speed = distance / time

To do this, convert:

miles --> feet

hour --> seconds

After you get your answers, plug them into the equation above, and you'll get your answer!

( I get that a previous user already answered, but I just wanted to throw in my two cents). :)

Hope this helped!

To solve this problem, you need to set up a proportion. If she jogs 6 miles per hour, then this can be written as \frac{6(miles)}{1(hr)}. If there are 5280 feet in a single mile, then first we multiply the two proportions like this:

\frac{6(miles)}{1(hr)} * \frac{5280(ft)}{1(mile)}

The two 'mile' values cancel each other out, so then just multiply \frac{6*5280(feet)}{1(hour)}. This equals to 31680 feet per hour. Now let's  convert to seconds.

\frac{360(seconds)}{1(hour)}, or 360 seconds every hour. Since hours are much longer than seconds, multiply 31680 by the reciprocal of 360, so that it makes sense.

31680 * \frac{1}{360}

She runs 88 feet per second.

The 7th term of an A.P is 15 and the fourth term is 9.what is 25th term?
Alex787 [66]
7th term is 15 and the fourth term is 9

Common difference: (15-9)/(7-4) = 2

Counting backwards from the fourth term will give us the "zeroth term"

A0 = 1

The closed formula for the sequence is

An = dn + A0

The 25th term is:

A25 = 2(25) + 1

A25 = 51

Hope this helps!
