With good WORD CHOICE, the writer creates a mental picture for the reader by using words that are specific and accurate. The writer uses strong action verbs whenever possible to show the reader what is happening rather than tell the reader.

How does the author use syntax to develop a position?
Andreyy89

The author uses syntax to select words that stimulate the reader's thinking to agree with his position on slacking.

What is the syntax?

 • It is a part of the study of grammar.
 • It is the part that evaluates the placement of words in a sentence and the meaning they promote.

The syntax was used by the author to create rhetorical questions. In this case, this author needed to evaluate how to organize the words to create questions that already have clear answers and that will stimulate the readers' reflection, leading them to agree with the author and making him establish the statement about slacking positively.
