Answer:

The main concern with excluding slave from the American revolution was their agitation for freedom.

Explanation:

At the time of the American Revolution, slaves made up at least 25 percent of the population of North Carolina. In actual numbers, blacks totaled perhaps seventy thousand but no more than 5 percent of them were free. Most blacks, whether slave or free, lived in the countryside and worked the land, planting, harvesting, and preparing crops for market.

Those who lived in North Carolina’s few towns worked at trades or were servants to slaveholders. A few of them were “hired out” by their owners to work for others who needed their labor. All of their earnings, except perhaps for a small allowance, went to the slaves’ owners.

Skilled slaves worked as carpenters, coopers (making barrels), blacksmiths (making iron into tools and shoeing horses), wheelwrights (making and repairing wheels), and in many other skilled occupations. In coastal towns, such as Wilmington and New Bern, they worked in trades that were important to the shipping business. Also in these towns, they may have controlled parts of the local economy, for example, selling almost all the food staples, fish, and fowl (birds).

Just as whites were divided by the conflict between the colonies and England, so blacks faced difficult choices. African-Americans fought for both sides, providing manpower to both the British and the revolutionaries. Their actions during the war were often decided by what they believed would best help them throw off the shackles of slavery. Most believed that victory by the British would lead to the end of slavery.

Is king arthur dead?
lilavasa [31]

Even is he existed, he is dead for centuries.

Explanation:

  • The lack of credible material and written sources related to the narratives of Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table might suggest that historical Arthur did not even exist.
  • Yet, the prevalence of Arthurian legends in European culture require particular caution from historians who address the issue.
  • Depending on what attitude historians have about oral tradition, its significance and role, different, sometimes even completely opposite, answers are formed to the question of whether or not legends are based on truth.
  • Some historians still deny the existence of King Arthur today, while others emphasize his enormous role in sixteenth-century British history.
  • The truth, as usual, is probably somewhere in between, so today is the most accepted viewpoint that speaks in favor of the existence of Arthur, but only as a warlord or local lord of some of the disparate areas inhabited by the Celtic tribes - the Britons.

What did kennan predict might happen in the soviet union if containment were practiced consistently?
Elanso [62]
Over time, the Soviet Union would either soften in its stance or would break apart from the internal contradictions of its system.

One of the things George Kennan said in his "long telegram" (8,000 words) sent in 1946 was that the USSR's overall methods of propaganda and control were negative and destructive.  "It should therefore be relatively easy to combat it by any intelligent and really constructive program," he said.  Urging a policy of containment rather than direct confrontation with the Soviet Union was a plan for waiting the nation to change in a positive direction or fail because it could not maintain control of its own system.  Kennan said, "<span>Success of Soviet system, as form of internal power, is not yet finally proven. It has yet to be demonstrated that it can survive supreme test of successive transfer of power from one individual or group to another. ... Internal soundness and permanence of movement need not yet be regarded as assured."</span>
