How the interior of a church has changed from the beginning of the 16th century to the reign of Edward VI
miskamm [114]

Answer: The appearance of the church during Edward VI became much more modest.

Explanation:

The king was raised as a Protestant and sought to implement reformist ideas in England. To this end, he fundamentally changed the state church headed by the English king. These changes were also involved in the interior of the church itself. Churches before the reform had a lavish and rich interior. The king decided to change that. Since the original Catholicism dictates simplicity and shame, the king changed the church's appearance in the country accordingly. He decided to throw out the gorgeous paintings that adorned the interior. The king also threw out expensive furniture and put in another that was much simpler.

3) Did Lincoln think his speech was a success?
Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

But Lincoln thought most things he did were a failure, so that's not a good way to judge. It is true the applause following the speech was a bit scattered; people did not expect the speech to be so short, and the audience was taken by surprise. ... It was a very good speech with good points, but it wasn't 300 words.

Under Franklin Roosevelt the nation turned to a new definition of the government's relationship with the people. This relation e
blagie [28]

Answer:

Under Franklin Roosevelt, the American Government became more involved in the regulation of the economy, drawing inspiration mainly from the ideas of John Maynard Keynes, which are known as keynesian economics.

This ideas hold that capitalism is the most efficient economic system, and that liberal democracy is the most desirable political system. However, capitalism itself has to be regulated by the state, and the government must intervene to prevent economic crisis, or to aid in the recuperation from one.

Neither Roosevelt nor Keynes were in favor of government control over people's personal lives, which is not a characteristic of democracy, but of authoritarian and/or totalitarian regimes such as Nazi Germany or Stalin's Soviet Union.

5. In an attempt to avoid war among the major European powers over control of Africa, European leaders met at the ____ to divide
Kaylis [27]
The answer is the Berlin Conference.

During the late 19th century, there was an increased interest by several European countries in colonizing Africa. This was due to Africa's strategic positioning and abundance of resources (like ivory and gold). To capitalize on these opportunities, countries like Portugal, Great Britain, France, and several others wanted the chance to colonize different parts of Africa. This is why the Berlin Conference was held, to make sure that there were rules/conditions for European countries trying to spread their political and economic influence into Africa.

What role did women have in the labor force of the building of Djoser’s pyramid?
Lerok [7]

Answer:When many of us were young, we were taught that the great pyramids required immense human resources to build, which of course, they did. We were told that as many as 100,000 slaves worked as forced labor for decades to build the Great Pyramid at Giza. Regrettably, it would seem that our teachers needed something to say about this ancient Egyptian civilization, and as is not unusual, memorizing some sort of data outweighed the importance of having correct information. Hence, we committed to memory the fantastic estimates of ancient historians who were mystified by the large volumes of material required to build these great stone edifices. However, we must give them credit, for at least they did not degrade the accomplishments of the early Egyptians by proposing the builders of these great structures to be space aliens or Atlantians.
