Glucose molecules from food sources provide energy to the cells of the human body. After a person eats, the level of glucose in

their blood increases. If a person's blood glucose level becomes too high, a hormone in the pancreas, known as insulin, is released. Insulin helps move glucose out of the bloodstream. This causes the blood glucose level to decrease and return to equilibrium. The production of insulin is a mechanism that regulates the human body's internal environment and aids in A. the storage of genetic information within cells. B. the production of sugar molecules through photosynthesis. C. the production of carbon dioxide through cellular respiration. D. the maintenance of homeostasis within the body system.

How are so few producers able to support so many primary consumers?
avanturin [10]

Answer:

Because primary producers get 100% energy consumption straight from the sun.

Explanation:

We use the energy pyramid to help us out:

.01% - A pex Predators

0.1% - Tertiary Consumers

1% - Secondary Consumers

10% - Primary Consumers

100% - Primary Producers

Because Primary Producers get 100% of the energy of the sun, they can support so many primary consumers, who only get 10% of the energy when they consume primary producers.

In my opinion I think the main events of glycolysis. How many ATP molecules are produces and consumed by glycolysis? What effect
svlad2 [7]

Glycolysis uses 2 ATP and produce 4ATP. So the net gain is true.

Oxygen is used in the Electron Transport Chain as the final electron recipient from complex 4 cytochrome a₃.

Explanation:

Glycolysis is the process which is common in all forms of respiration where glucose is metabolized into pyruvate. This process is very essential to continue the next steps of different respiration. Glycolysis requires 2 molecules to process substrate level phosphorylation to convert glucose to glucose 6 phosphate and fructose 6 phosphate to fructose 1, 6 bisphosphate. But it produces 4 ATPs. Thus net gain is 2ATP.

In ETC, the hydrogen carriers NADH and FADH gives off the hydrogen to reduce the complex 1 and 2 respectively and itself gets oxidized. Thus the electron given off is transferred between 4 complexes to finally give off to oxygen to form water.
